I've got an RNC on my TV rig. It helps, but every channel's got it's own gain structure it seems. I still ride the mute button, but at least the "EPIC" soundtracks don't knock my ass out of bed when i'm trying to mellow out and watch a movie!

The company that makes Marshall amps is an entirely seperate company from the Marshall that makes the mics. The mics are Chinese. I think it's "Marshall Electronics" that makes the mic. They're either owned or associated with the company that makes Mogami cable.

Interested in anything like NOS Mullard EL34, GZ34 tubes?

Lot's of folks use an API 3124+ with the mixer option just for this purpose. For toms and guitars in particular.

I've got a '66 VibroChamp that I've re-capped and installed all NOS tubes in. I also added a Weber replacement speaker and a new output transformer that allows me to use an 8ohm extension cab I have that has a 12" Celestion.
