Audion PS3010, channel strips, Gates/Harris For Sale

Hey everyone, I have an Audion PS3010 Dual Comp for sale. One channel works perfectly, the other passed signal last time it was connected but was distorted and did not compress. This unit should be consider a fixer-upper, but it is a pretty rare piece of Russian audio goodness and there are a few fo...

Arrange your players in a circle, use any figure 8 mic (ribbon, condensor, etc.) in the middle. Play with stand height and positioning of your players to get different depths of field. Seems the easiest upgrade for sure.

Good amp tech in Westchester, NY?

Hey all, I did some studio work for a guy last year down in Scarsdale, just outside of NYC, and now he is looking for an amp tech to properly repair 2 Vintage Marshall Tube Amps. 1 is a Super-bass head with 6550's, the other is a JMP Plexi 50W Tremolo head. They both have newer tubes, the Plexi has ...

I have some 108K's but I've never seen anything in the 110 series. What chips did Stevenson put in them? Do they have the Microtran or the Beyer transformers? Mute relays or no? I've got monitor modules that run 4558's, but most of the rest run those pesky no longer available chips. What are the fad...

I've built a bunch of these units. Several single, dual and quad boxes infact. The more VDC you give them, the higher the gain but the worse the S/N ratio gets. Run them around 18vdc. Make sure you filter it well. A 1K pot on the ouput ahead of a 600ohm transformer works wonders for them. You'll wan...

Recommend a DIY headphone amp that will live on +4db?

Hey all, I'm doing an install and the console has +4db cue sends, but no way for freelancers to directly plug phones in. The underside of the board has a good size cavity and there is a bi-polar 16V supply that is an easy grab. What I'm seeking is something I can build with minimal parts count, a si...

Pm me an email address. Have a session this weekend but i'll get them to you asap. Cool board for drums in its own right. I tracked a bunch of songs last year on mine. The most interesting $250 I ever spent.

I have schematics for the 100B and 100D only however my manual indicates that the pinout for the edge card is the same. That being said, look at pin 12 on the IC and trace it to the 47mfd-isg electrolytic cap. The other side of this cap is the output to the busses and panning scheme. Replace that ca...

I get the V2/V4/V4B breed across the bench from time to time. IF it is running the original tubes (probably Magnavox 7027s), they are due for a retube as the factory bias in the 70's was warm and with component drift, they probably have been slowly burning to death all of these years. If it hasn't b...

Floid, I've built a bunch of boxes with these modules. IIRC the max voltage was 18VDC. I ran them at 12VDC, but if you could regulate your 48V down to that neighborhood, I dont see why you couldn't put phantom in there as well. Definitely use some coupling caps between the phantom feed resistors and...

I'm amazed that the Stevenson threads still hold interest for a few. I still use my 200's all the time and modded my 100 16x4 with transformer balanced outs on every channel. Opted for balanced outs instead of the original reverb tank and return PCB setup that I bought (I believe from the o/p). My 1...

Help with Soundworkshop Series 34c ??

Hey all, I just got my hands on a SW ser 34C console. It's missing the connectors that plug into the PCB setup in the right leg (the stuff that routes to the patchbay) and the header inside for the mic inputs has been butchered as well though the connectors are complete albeit partially unpinned. Do...

Actually looking further into some older spec and cross sheets, looks like a 2N5458 might be a better solution.

The sheet at hand is :

http://www.datasheetarchive.com/TIS58-datasheet.html#

Has the TIS 58 on page 6, the 2N5458 is on page 5.
