Wharfdale DP8.2A's are right around that price range,
but I have no idea how they sound.
Curious myself.

Traynor YGM3 (not re-issue)

Anybody have anything bad to say about these?

They're quite affordable, if you can find one in good condition,
and to me it sounded like one of those "hidden gem" amps.

One thing is, I dunno how they sound overdriven with a pedal.
If anybody has any experience with these, I'd love to hear them!

Wow..thanks for all the feedback.
Aside from it all, the guitar just felt right.

I think I may jump on it!

Maybe I found an orphan.
This one is a set neck, says L6S on the truss rod cover, has no 5 way rotary switch, and has the black pickups and toggle like the les pauls.

Gibson L6S Deluxe

I've been eye-ing a Gibson L6S Deluxe at a local shop. From what I can tell, the neck pickup is amazing, and the feel of guitar is awesome. The intonation is dead on and sounds like it'll hold up much longer. I've read the harmony central reviews...just want to ask your take if anybody has any input...

Topic: what do you use to make your desktop's ultra quiet?

I had a loud desktop that I made myself with parts from CompUSA, etc. And it got to the point where I couldn't live mic anything with the desktop in the same room, so I went out and got the Nexus Breeze 500W Silent PC case. It's built really well, with special quiet case fans, and padding inside the...

Thanks for your input. I was kinda hoping the 5400rpm Lacie Rugged drive would work, because it can be powered by the USB or Firewire bus. I've also got a Lacie D2 Quadra that is 7200rpm so maybe I can use that. I'll have to figure out the busses tho, I may run the removable hard drive via USB, beca...

New Setup...Questions..MBP Motu 8pre 160GB removable HD

I've got a few questions as I'm going into a new setup in my recording studio. I just picked up a Macbook Pro, with 200GB internal drive, 2GB of RAM, OSX 10.5.2...right now its boot camped with WinXP, 80GB(46GB usable) for the Mac-side, 120GB for the XP side. I also picked up a Motu 8pre and I plan ...

i remember reading that elliott's yamaha acoustic gave out such volume
that you didn't need a pick to play it..so if he's playing softly and singing softly
it might really just be that one mic and room
