About four years ago, I took a large amount of gear to Poland and back with some US connection flights. It was a large group trip, with some scuzzy musician looking types and some very average-looking white suburbanites. Some of the normal-looking folks checked all their baggage to help us get the e...

I love local trading, and will meet you on the outskirts of Indy, Columbus, Cincy, etc if you want to meet rather than ship. These prices are OBO, and buyer would pay shipping. Scodiddly, I just grounded them up, and they work great. Just when I thought I'd wasted way too many dollars and hours.

Thanks again.

I'm using metal panel-mount 1/4" jacks for the output, since I''ll be going straight into a patchbay. Should I run wire from the sleeve solder connection point to a bolt in the chassis? I guess since I know just a tiny, dangerous bit about electronics, this seems redundant to me, or else I'm missing...

PM1000 Phantom Problems...

I've been trying to do the classic PM-1000 rack job over the last week, and I'm so very close to getting them done. I used the fivefish power supply, and I'm going off of the Scodiddly pictures on prodigy, and I've got power, signal, and everything. Unbalanced output, and no phase switch. I think I'...

Furman pedal power cables

Hey all, recently came by a second Furman SPB-8 second hand, but it didn't have any of the power patch cables. Do any of you have a secret source for pedal power cables of the 3.5mm to barrel-end type? Looking through all the major retailers, I haven't seen anything like this. Thanks in advance, Lukey

I was recording in a cabin once with a friend, and we ran a line out to my 97 windstar. Kalamazoo model II in the back, with various LDC's in the front on a short stand between the seats. It was interesting, and not horrible. Not the best isolation from outside the vehicle, but better than cabin wal...

I'm no expert on this... but tape.com is where a roommate got some cassettes for a romantic mix-tape thing a few years ago. Looks like they still have cassettes, though I don't know if it fits your needs.

In the realm of psuedo-talkbox effects... Once, while screwing around to no intentional end, I taped a contact mic to the inside of my mouth and held one of those pocket amps in front of me as if it was a mic, with a friend playing a fuzzy riff... got some really gross/weird filtering going on as I ...

If you're having multiple people tracking simultaneously, don't forget headphone distribution.... no matter how you do it, you're likely gonna want to have multiple people hearing things at once in a quiet room, and it will really suck to be figuring it out the first time you want to actually record...

It's a good one. If you're into bending, it's full of these big blue bins of random stuff, and I've always seen at least four or five kids' music making toys floating around. Never an sk-1 or an actual speak and spell, but there's a lot of potential there. I'm also crossing my fingers for a Commodor...
