Running Windows 7 RC1 right now... M-Audio Delta 1010 drivers worked fine with a bit of twiddling. Wish I could say the same about pretty much anything else audio-related I've tried to install. Don't even bother.. luckily I've got a copy of XP on my other hard drive. Nothing to see here.. move along...

Help me fix my Small Clone!!

Hey folks, So I've got this EH-4600 Small Clone that I haven't used for a while, and upon digging it out the other day it didn't seem to work at all. (battery or with the adapter) So I opened the thing up and there seems to be a green wire that has come loose from the on-off switch (I believe...) Wo...

ATH-M50s, for sure. I track with them, edit with them, listen to my iPod with them while walking around in the rain, roll around on my skateboard with them sitting comfortably on my head, toss them on my bedroom floor, fold them up and throw them in my backpack, bring them on bus/ferry/plane trips, ...

Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about the Mackies specifically? I regularly use the 450's as FOH speakers and 350s as wedges, along with their powered subs from time to time as well depending on the gig. However, I don't have a whole lot of live sound experience with other gear, so I'm so...

This is a really cool topic idea, for what it's worth. Lots of little details to be mused over, and maybe even a tidbit of info or two to pick up.

1970s/80s era Roland Cube amps. loud and clean with very good tone. Nail on the head... I played in a band a couple years ago with an upright (and electric) bassist who used one all the time.. clean, loud, reliable, pretty much everything you're looking for. And not super-expensive either, which is...

I use a set of Audio Technica ATH-M50s for pretty much everything.. tracking, spot-checking, editing, general listening, etc... HD280s are great as well.

The rustic mini jumbo I tried was downright AMAZING.. really, really good guitars for not-all-that-much. I agree about the headstock looking a little wonky though.

http://www.thedisengagement.com/Photosynthesis.mp3 or http://www.thedisengagement.com/Photosynthesis.wav , if you're willing to suffer a few extra megabytes.. The areas over which I'm kinda doubtful are the low end (I'm monitoring on a set of KRK RP6's without the sub) and the snare sound. A fresh ...
