good question...my preamps are low end but usable...7th circle t15's (2 for the drums) and a focusrite trakmaster. I also use a beyer opus69 for vox and other duties...have lots of dynamics but only mca sp1's pair for drums and don't care tooo much for them on my voice. maybe just getting too wrappe...

can someone tell me why "the woods" sounds so strange on my stereo? fuzzy/grainy distorted. nothing like their past recordings or anything else i play. is this a bad master? a bad recording? or maybe a bad cd (i have orig. version)? is it intentional? very weird i'd like to know if i am hearing thin...

trakmaster focusrite a/d converter module worth it?

Use this for a bit of compression, a bit of eq...backup mic pre....nothing special but...it has an optional a/d card for about $230 on the bay, was wondering if it is worthy to any extent or nothing better than not having the a/d ability...?

longshot i know but maybe someone has info on it?

i've worn out the search function here and still can not find any info on some good beginner books for schematics for audio....i am comfortable with hvac and "common appliance" etc...schem.s but my electrical books form school don't seem to have a flow for the audio side of things Any diy for dummie...
