I'm 34. Started playing drums at 10, switched to guitar at 16 (hey it was the 80s), got back on the kit around 27. I'm way better at drums, glad i picked 'em up again. buy some good headphones and really learn 'em. seems silly to be listening for 30Hz on phones, but i've learned to trust mine. i don't mix with them, i'll just check them occasionally. many times i find i just need to turn the bass down a couple db....
