I recorded at the wrong sample rate

I inadvertently tracked a session with the clock set to 96k and the Sonar session set to 44.1k. My guess is that I have a 96k wav file labeled as a 44.1k file. I've tried starting a new 96k session and then importing the file, but it always converts it. Tried r8brain, but it won't do what I need it ...

Where would you put my crap?

Just moved into a new house with a basement. Now I've got room for a studio downstairs. I took out all the nasty carpet and am running a couple of dehumidifiers to get things under control. I'd like to use the big open space for everything, live room and control room all together. I have two basic q...

Thanks for all the quick replies. I really appreciate your input. I think I'll start off with one mic and see if it works. I like simple. Unfortunately, I don't have a decent omni. Bought a couple of those karma omnis a while back. Those things are crap. Really, really noisy. Thanks again. I'll post...

Last minute help again? Recording BGVs. One mic or three?

Ok, once again on the eve of tracking I'm starting to question my methods. Last go around I asked for some help with tracking a choir and I got great advice and great results, so here's the next issue. The basic question is, track all three with one mic or with three? Details below: I'm tracking thr...

thanks so much for the help everybody. Great advice. things went smoothly, though I had a lot fewer people than I had hoped. Still, the ORTF worked great. Got a real nice ambient sound.

recording a choir

I'm getting a "choir" together to record the chorus of a song tomorrow. I thought I knew how I was going to go about it, but now I'm second guessing myself. I'm really not sure how many people will be there. We'll be in a big sanctuary with hopefully 30 to 50 people. Who knows. I only have two sets ...

This is an awesome price. I'd jump on this if I had the cash. I have two already and these are great preamps.

I like it. I like the vibe. Generally, to me the vocals are out a bit much for my taste. They sit pretty well in "desesperados." They also seem to fit well in "kick rocks." The banjo sits out a little too much for me in that too, but I love the banjo. Maybe something to add some grit to the vocals o...

Thanks so much for the replies. Makes me feel a lot better about it. We actually wanted more bite, but couldn't get it without it sounding cheesy. It's a yamaha D-3. I bought it from a lady who played in a band in the early 70s. She couldn't afford a b3 so she got this. It actually has been fitted f...

What do you think of this organ sound?

Bought an organ recently to use on my album. Not sure if I like it. I had a friend play it. Honest opinions please. Thanks a bunch.
