My band is in Portland, Seattle & Olympia this weekend

Hey folks If anyone is in the NW US and is interested, we're touring through your fine cities. We're a Canadian band called Les Jupes. Just made a record with Marcus Paquin who also worked on the new Arcade Fire album. Lots of tape-op friendly goodies. Cheers, Mike www.headinthesand.ca/lesjupes

dbx 165 | dbx 160xt | Audix D6 for sale

Hey everyone I'm selling the following pieces of gear. All are located in Winnipeg, Canada. The comps are old, so they have a few scratches on 'em but they work great. I'm currently in Montreal but will be back in Winnipeg July 3 and will post pics then. Buyer pays shipping + paypal. Best way to con...

The 610 is good, and is what I own.

But the Sebatron VMP is better. Every chance I get to use my friend's, I do it. A bit quicker/punchier.

thanks!

yeah, its mostly ITB - drums are run out through UA pre into a dbx 165. drums are also just 2 mono mics, so maybe i'll play around with some slap delays or bouncy verbs to get some life going.

I don't like the DeVille's for recording. Live they're tolerable. In the studio they're both murky and brittle - my two least favorite things. I used to love them. Until I started paying attention. Get a decent head (Music Man, Fender, Ampeg, Mesa, Traynor, as long as its tubes) and a bass 4x10. You...

Here in Canada, any phone on the Rogers network will interfere audibly.

A text has caused my monitor to cackle on stage.

My blackberry also alerts my NS-10's anytime I get an email.

Its a pain in the ass.

So yes, OFF is the best state for mobiles in the studio.

WTB - Music Man amps

Hey folks The producer who came out to do our record really loved my Music Man HD130 head and is now looking for a couple Music Man amps himself. He's in Montreal. So, if there's any eastern Canadian or New York/area folks with any Music Man amps (combos or heads), drop me a line and I'll send him y...
