I know these guys and they put a lot of sweat into keeping the modular synth community alive (they sure as hell make it interesting). They host regular meetups in Chicago featuring manufacturers and artists that rival anything you see in the category (analog/modular synth) at shows like NAMM etc... ...

the synths in Komplete cover a lot of ground too...

I originally used them as place holders to be replaced by "real stuff" later.
Now I find myself layering them with the real stuff.

I've used it... I'm also an ACID user and it's just as easy to use. In addition to being able to use your own loops they also include a loop editor for making your own. One recommenation...
