If you actually want to get mic into your stomach, you should send the mic up your nose to get down your throat. This will prevent you from gagging.

p.s. Don't actually do this.

For under $1000, I would guess the quietest would be the AEA TRP with over 80db of gain. No phantom power though.

What do you mean by "how to make a flash video"? Do you mean, does anyone know "how to compress a standard video into an .flv"?

On a related note, I have a MOTU HD192, but I've always been intrigued by the Metric Halo boxes. I may end up getting a second HD192, which would give me 24 i/o. However, if I went the Metric Halo route, how stable are multiple MH units running in tandem? Also, has anyone compared the HD192 to the 2...

I really look forward to putting it through its paces. How often do you use the Davisound? It sounds like it is a very unique sounding microphone that might not work on a lot of sources.

Davisound DS-1950

My Davisound DS-1950 microphone is at a friend's studio, but I should be getting it back pretty soon. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I have to be honest -- I bought it because it was one of the most unique and beautiful looking microphones I'd ever seen. In fact, if the damn thing sound...

I would contact Alan at PMI Audio, which owns Studio Projects. He fixed a Joe Meek preamp for me a couple of years ago for nothing.

I can't believe how cheap those things are going for. $80 at Musician's Friend for a ribbon mic. Tempting.

I would think your guitar amp's speaker would work just find. I use a speaker in my bass cabinet. In other words, it doesn't need to be a subwoofer.
