Re: Alesis HD24 too old for recording band rehearsal?

After much deliberation i feel although a great deal it would be too much extra work to get files into pc or too Time consuming to bounce my final stereo mix into the pc so I can post it somewhere where all the fellas in the band can re listen. Soo much easier doing that with a daw or in the box so ...

Re: Alesis HD24 too old for recording band rehearsal?

I’ve seen extra drives on reverb for the hd24 fairly reasonable. I think I still have a bunch of IDE drives that I bought for my (now sold) HD24XR but never even got around to formatting. If you're interested, I could send you a few for the price of shipping. Hey thanks winky. I will check back wit...

Re: Alesis HD24 too old for recording band rehearsal?

I understand in order to bounce down my mix I will send my tracks from the Alesis back to the mackie and mix the recording on the board then have to record the final stereo mix onto something else (like my presonus ar16 into my mediocre pc) or back into 2 open tracks On the Alesis. I understand from...

Alesis HD24 too old for recording band rehearsal?

Have an opportunity to get an Alesis HD24 recorder and a mackie 24/8 mixer with meter bridge and all connecting cables for in and out to the HD24 for dirt cheap from the original owner. I know the HD24 is pretty old but for just recording my band practices to listen back to and maybe capture some go...

Need to find replacement powersuppy for Tascam 424 MKI

Just bought a Tascam 424 MKI and loving it, but the power supply was a little janky when I got it, and it has since burned out. Anyone know of where I can get a proper replacement power supply? I have seen some listed on ebay . I am just unsure of if they are legit, since they look a lot smaller and...

thanks for all the tips ya'll. at this point, I am thinkin' of trying to "naturaly" cut volume as much as possible via using brushes on the drum kit, using smaller amps and less volume. it's better for the mix and the ears anyways. I may try and dabble a lil' with the "sound proofing" but I am now r...

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Sounds like some serious work needs to be done. I really would love to make this work, but the place is a rental property and I will be leaving in August. Just lost my job and don't have much "cake" to go around, but it does leave a lot of free time for me to fiddle w...

Help? Stage Snake issues and possible fixes

Hey all you tapeoppers, I just bought a 8 XLR channel stage snake with 4 TRS returns on ebay. It looks a little rough but I got a great deal on it. Two of the TRS sends are only working in mono and one hardly working at all. I am thinking of trying to rewire/replace the TRS connectors to see if that...
