A friend of mine has Roland V Drums, model TD-4KP.
One the module, there are NOT separate outputs for each drum sound. He is wondering if there is a way through MIDI to achieve that. He is using Pro Tools.
Thanks for any and all info, in advance...

lots of good info here
Thanks folks for all of your suggestions and advice. I'm grateful for what seems to be everyone's knowledge and expertise on the subject. Lot's great mic options discussed here, as well as a few things about placement, and philosophy on how to use the inevitable bleed. It seems to be a good subject ...

recording live bands/drummer who sings
I've been recording bands playing live, in various types of venues, sometime practice spaces, sometimes real venues, junk shops, churches, etc. It's for a youtube TV show, the host is a local Detroit journalist, who likes to talk to bands and artist around town. I recently had a band who's drummer s...

hard drive midi controller iLok my interface doesn't wanna behave nicely with my hard drive through firewire. It used to back in the PT 6.7 days, but now that I'm a bit more up to date (not by much) PT 10, but still using the Digi002, this is the route that seems to be working for me. I just wanna g...

Sean... Thanks for listening to my band! First time anyone on here has ever given me a shout out. I like that Steinberg piece, it's in my $$$ zone, and it has a lot of name recognition, even though i know Steinberg to be funny looking guitars with no headstocks, but those pre-amps are Yamaha, and th...

I think i could swing anything up to $1000. I have downloaded the driver updates for PT 10, and the 002r. It works, but not ideally. Not as smoothly as I would expect. Again I am going from PT 6.7! Which worked good, never crashed on me, always did what it was supposed to do. Im seeing the Apollo fo...

Pro Tools/ Interface: What is everyone using?
I have recently upgraded from a Mac Mini, running PT 6.7, with a Digi002r. I now use a MacBook Pro, 8 gigs of RAM, and Pro Tools 11. I didn't think I had to upgrade my interface, thinking that since PT now allows for 3rd party interfaces, why would there be a problem with their old interfaces runnin...

The EXPORT options are really only for exporting the audio. So it seems to me. I didn't see any options for video. I got it to YouTube but he made me take it down before he would even see it, because if it's published at all, even just by YouTube, it runs the risk of being disqualified from Sundance...
