Wow - thanks for the great feedback! I got an amazing bit of feedback from an ME: Dave at Sonopod gave me some super detailed suggestions in a private message... I'm tempted to post his feedback here but need his permission first. Now that you guys pointed out some of those little details I can't "u...

Feedback we've received so far:

-maybe too much doubling on vox - "sounds gay" (not my words)
-moog is a bit raw, maybe add some reverb
-minor arrangement suggestions

...but, do any TOMB-heads have time to share opinions?

RWC: We don't come here to get praise -- this is the kind of outsider feedback that helps us get another perspective... thanks for taking the time to listen and chime in. What did you mean by: "compated"? Yeah... we use headphones when tracking vox... its always a delicate balance between levels, ho...

just Updated with new mixes above, much improved from those originally posted... but still .

Does ANYONE have feedback? Or are you guys just more into Scandanavian Speed Metal? If so, we'll whip some right up.

Maybe we just nailed it.. :? 8)

For your consideration: Marliyn & Eyes Rolled Back

Scott and I got together again and did the usual routine. Below are two new songs from this past Monday's sessions. Would love feedback as usual on anything... writing, arrangement, mix. -steve Marilyn http://www.audibus.com/electrolic/Electrolic_Marilyn_3.mp3 2 minute pop with some super smashed tr...

To paraphrase, Ken Stringfellow said you need to just write songs... and that you have to write the less good ones to get to the better ones. Perhaps in that spirit, here is one underdeveloped track from that day, give er' a whirl... Byrds meets GBV? Is It Me? MP3 ----> http://www.audibus.com/electr...

One more gear note: ....using SM7B on kick... just outside the hole on the outside skin. - RWC: It works both ways... I'm glad you get something out of this, I feel we get more from you than you get from us. Scott and I are still trying to find ways to "use" you - perhaps to mix our demo reel before...

Thanks everyone for the feedback, great stuff. I want to sit down again with this feedback and re-listen/mix - please keep it coming if others are finding the thread right now. My personal goal is to make every session / mix better than the last - whether the music we write is better or not than las...

My buddy Scott and I wrote and record about 5 new songs a couple Saturdays ago. I'm interested in feedback on the recording and mixes from the collective TapeOp "ears". Alright: MP3: Download Here ...this one evokes some of the mellower Floyd for me... a bit cinematic This Song to Keep: MP3: Downloa...

I have a minor nit-pick: The color scheme here.

The orange against yellow, in particular, is pretty hard to read. I'm a young guy and have to enlarge the list of threads to be able to read them.
