man that sounds cool as hell. its a little jumbly when the acordion comes in but i kinda think that it add to the overall feeling of the song. ill take low fi with soul over big slick studio sound any day. keep it up!

man i hope they can recover some of this stuff. derek trucks just played at the club i do FoH at recently and myself and the monitor tech sat and drooled over this gear all night. man this is a sad thing to hear

i got to do live sound for both sharon jones and the antibalas. gotta say those are some really nice people. great old soul from those kids.

i have to take breaks after every couple songs during mixing. if i dont i often start second guessing myself and the songs begin to sound inconsistant .i also dont care to go over 8 hours behind the consloe as i feel the quality of my work begins to slide.

ive got a peavey pvr 1 which works allright as a room, overhead, or sometimes cabinet mic. i think theyre dirt cheap.

i dont have one but local papers are filled with em. i just got a mitsubishi 22" for 65$ and i live in a samll town. people are allways upgrading monitors and with the drop in panel screens large crt/trinitrons go cheap.

wow that a wierd routing option on that mackie.

i do it every time as well but use it sparingly. its good accent foor a ringy snare or one that gets lost in mid freq land. adds more accent to the top head snap.
