it sounds more hi fi than most GBV tracks, so i think you are pretty much there. nice loud guitars, nice veiled vocals.

i have an early e300. maybe 80's? early 90's? anyway, its a great mic for a variety of stuff. for female vocals i prefer it to my gefell. amazing on kick drum.

one thing i am confused about, half of the artists mentioned (lil wayne class) use autotune as an effect. like intentionally supposed to sound weird/funny/robotic. the other half (shania twain class) use it to sound pitch perfect, but the effect is supposed to be somewhat invisible to the listeners....

buy used, and buy under market. sell if you don't like it. you'll probably be close to breaking even after auditioning a few pres. with a small chance of making some money in the process.
