MOTU customer service is HORRIBLE. First I had significant issues with DP which they didnt help with, then I sold it and my traveler... Now they wont respond to license transfer or registration transfer requests! And forget about getting something fixed... i tried that twice and they'll gladly take ...

If canned reverb sounds too canned, but you don't have a gymnasium for a kitchen, apply a generous amount of a reverb you like, play the reverb-ed signal through a speaker in your live room with an omni condenser mic set several feet away. The approximated, digitized room sound hits a real room....

If you want to use a linux distro specifically for audio, then dyne:bolic is pretty much a waste of time.

Ubuntu-studio will get you much further.

It's in your best interest to take some time with the drummer and bassist aside and spend one or two hours with them doing this exercise. As a drummer I do this constantly to improve my tempo, and I've found that even an hour or two of doing this will greatly increase a players understanding of ryth...

Since you have two of the same mics, I would open them both up and check to see where the connector pins are connecting to the circuit board on the good one to make sure they are the same on the bad one. They are identically wired. It may be something that simple. After that, check the solder point...
