Had my countryman type 85 for over 10 years. It spent the first 6 years gigging heavily and the last 4 being constantly used in my studio. It's a TANK and it sounds great on bass.

Allen & Heath GS3V as Cubase SX3 control surface?

I've tried hooking up my GS3V midi i/o to use as a midi controler for SX3. I have the tape transportworking with MMC. I added a generic device and using the "learn" function in SX3 manage to assign the 16 faders. However, moving a fader up on the GS3V moves the fader DOWN in the corrisponding SX3 ch...

Could it be a dead (patch memory) battery? Maybe a connector walked its way off the PCB? The behavior you describe seems to imply that the primary functioning of the board is okay. Can you set parameters (into temporary location), or does even that not work? I know nothing at all, but wanted to bum...

Allen & Heath GS3V dead midi patch recall, vca auto deat

My trusty GS3V 16:8:2 gave up on me last night. The midi patch nunber pannel went blank, all the midi mute switches went off as did the VCA fader position marker lights. The board still passes audio through each channel using the PFL and the two track returns are both working and lighting up the LR ...

I played out live in bands for 15 years and never had a problem till I got hit across the back/left side of the head & ear by a bottle in a bar fight 6 years ago. I was totaly deaf in the left ear for over 3 weeks before very muffled sub 400Hz sounds started coming back. Over the years it's gotten b...

I know their first album "Tigermilk" was actualy part of a college project to put together a band, write songs, record them as part of a media degree. There was either 500 or 1000 copies pressed. Actualy I've done some digging, hope this is enough for now till I can dig up some more info. Belle & Se...

Daisy chain firewire to 1 port as it might not work right if you run each to a different FW port(or so I hear). Then a BNC cable from word clock out of 1st unit to word clock in of second unit. I have mine set up like this and they work perfectly and sound so awesome, it's unfair how inexpensive th...

Eco Audiofire 12's. Anyone running 2 of these together?

I'm looking to upgrade from my 3 trusty Delta PCI cards to free up PCI slot space for my UAD-1 addiction. How exactly do these run in tandem? Do I need 2 firewire ports or do they daisy chain together? How much of a step up convertor wise would this be if any? I'm running a P IV 3.00GHz ASus P4C 800...
