From my experience, no certification or degree of any kind will land you a job in this industry. What will land you a job is experience, connections and a portfolio of past projects. The thing about protools is that it is a very intuitive program. It is not complex like Logic. If you read the manua...

Everyone seems to think it is rockin, but I havent liked it ever. Maybe snare top with something good, then a shell mic with an omni on someone that doesnt bash the crap out of the hat, but not just as a "solution" for bad tuning or a crappy drum(crappy crappy, not good crappy). I dont know what kind of console that was mixed on. It was mixed at sunset I think. What was available there in 1970/71? I think DeMideo APIs. I know my APIs and 1176s sound GREAT doing this. I usually use a KM84 or SM81. If it's Jazz usually 451.
It's most important for the drummer to mix their set!
