I finnally got some outboard gear (ART Pro VLA) and have been running it on some tracks. When it came to mixing I decided to take all 6 drums tracks I had, send them out to the VLA and mix them with the origional signal. I took output 3&4 on my MOTU 828, sent them to the VLA and put them back into t...

Re: favorite pedal
I bought an old broke mutron phasor II for 40 bucks. thought it was a bad lead on the pot, but couldnt get it to stay fixed. I took it to a tech and he ended up just replacing the pot for me. It was the rate pot that went bad and the replacement was a WAY different value. So, now when I turn it to 0...

Re: I have a headache
I want more vocals. I like the guitar break at 2:30 and the drum/guitar match up in the part after. Maybe use a little compression on the electronic drums to make them a little more squishy in the last half. I think the first half is already squishy. But I dont know how much that helps cause I know ...

Power conditioner question
I need to get some sort of power protection/conditioner for my rack. Will a cheap one do as good a job as an expensive one?

Re: Pixies Live Sound
they were sorta okay in cleveo. It was more of a "I gotta see this" type of deal. I love them to death, but couldn't help feeling like a sap (mostly cause I bought a ticket for my girl and best friend who are both poor (I mean poorer then I am)). A friend shelled out the unreal amount of cash (25 bu...

Re: d112 on the bass cab
i saw a guy using a D112 on bass. The strange thing was he ran the bass through a proco rat on the way in to the amp. He turned the gain way down low. It sounded okay, and was an intersting new technique. It was Don Dephew, that guy who did some GBV as well as every other shitty clevo band.
