Re: SM Pro Audio PR8
I like mine ok. I use my Sebatron VMP's as my money pre's and run the rest through this lil wonder into my MOTU 828. I like the pre's on this one better then the 828's 2 pre's.

Re: Resources for surveillance audio?
That was a funny crack.
But I was looking more for information. Like I said I (actually) don't want to do any of it, but was curious as to how it worked. Thanks

Re: Omnidisc BEWARE!!!!!!!
I just did a run at omni and it turned out a little shitty on the cover too. They sent me the proofs but I'm sure that it looked like it did pre-CKMY split. Then I got the CD's and the cover was soooo much darker then planned. I think a better way for them to do proofs, in addition to the tottally u...

Resources for surveillance audio?
I was wondering if anyone had any resources for covert survalience audio stuff. I?m not really out to do any, but I always wanted to read about how it was done. Maybe someone knows of some articles on different bugging and huge distance shotgun mic stuff or how to pull out audio signals and stuff li...

Re: Roland SP808
the TR-909, TB-303 and TR 808 are all old roland machines. Rebirth based the sounds and interface on the actual units from the past. For more info on them I'd go to http://www.sonicstate.com or http://www.vintagesynth.com/

Re: Recording Drums on a Motu 828 or 828MKII
I use stewie's method on my 828. I run the overheads through Sebatron VMP's and the kick and snare through stock pre's (I like a more roomy sound)

Re: nine inch nails and gear
He's a big fan of the nord leads and modulars. I don't know much else he ever really praises aside from the Kurzwiel K2000 (on downward spiral) As for the drums, I read that for the fragile he and alan moulder (with help from steve albini if I remember right) recorded drums samples in a room with re...

Re: Great Pedals and Stomp Boxes
I like my old marshal blues breaker. It sounds like it does nothing but it does everything. Just enough gain to make things intersting.
I also love my wah that I traded a calculator for when I was in high school. Man stoners can get dumb.

Re: Recording a fender rhodes
I've gotten some great sounds running mine through a Rocktron Camelion guitar rack thingy. My brother left it at my studio and I started playing with it. I hate pods, and assumed anything digital was just as bad, but this thing really gives me some nice sounds on both rhodes and guitar.
