Hi, I have this great sounding wha pedal (snarling dogs whine-o). the problem is it's too noisy. I guess all pedals have a bit of hiss, but i'd like to get rid of it, at least to some degree. I'd like to find the noisy components and replace them, rather than just replacing everything, so I've borro...

I just got a very reasonable offer on a pair of PMC db-1sa monitors. Can I have some opinions on them, please? I currently have a pair of tannoy reveals, and I guess asking if the PMC db-1sa would be worth the upgrade would be a silly question... What I'm mostly concerned with is however their size....

how good is the SP-1 then?

Is the body of a solid construction that doesn't resonate? does the grille add any objectionable artifacts? Is it simple to put in a 5 pin XLR?

I guess, if I'm totally re-gutting the mic, this is all that matters..

oktava 319 mxl 2001 mxl 2003 aphex 460 which mic will yeld a better result? I assume all of them will need upgrades to the electronics and a transformer change.
