Does this sound ok to you?

If it does, then you are good to go.

If not, post on here what the problem is.

Re: Converting old Audio-Technica handheld wireless to XLR ouput

AEW-T3300 (using the same capsule as the AT4033)

Um... no. It does not use the same capsule.

To convert it, you may need the schematics, try someone you may know
who is an authorized repair person.

Re: Soundtracs: scratchy knobs/switches

Products by CAIG, which may or may not be around any longer. I think HOSA bought them.
Deoxit Faderlube is the one you need.

And they have other ones for metal resistive pots as well.

Re: Patchbay Question - Where to connect ground wire?

Hi, Unless you have a lot of unbalanced / funky / ancient equipment, you will not be needing this ground wire. Also, this type of grounding scheme is mainly used in old recording studios, where the console was connected to this type of patchbay, and an actual technical engineer was responsible for m...

Re: One Neve Channel to Rule Them All

I have used and like the Brent Averill Audio (BAE) ones.

Even compared the real ones to his... there is no difference, other that his components
are new, as opposed to old.

Nice company too.

Not sure about the other companies products as I have not used them.

Re: Using a laptop computer in place of digital stompboxes

My system:

Guitars (several)

Mac laptop late 2011, running 10.13.16 High Sierra (very high indeed).

Waves DI box.

Focusrite RedNet2 audio interface, through ethernet.

Amplitube 4 4.6
and
Waves GTR 3.5 (version 10.0.0.16)

It works great.

Re: Using a laptop computer in place of digital stompboxes

Hi, and welcome to the late 20th century. Most computers to-day have enough "horsepower (what is a horse?)" to do what you need them to. If your computer is less than 2 years old, most certainly. If it has GB ethernet or Thunderbolt ports, you can use a high quality, low latency hardware interface s...

Re: Question about monitoring / bass levels

Another possibility, is that the crossovers are shot.

But this would be rare if the sound is exactly the same on both, unless the same component no longer works on both. Not totally impossible.

Re: Where can I find blank studio tracking sheets?

Hi,

These are recall sheets, for hundreds of pieces of gear:

Also, usually, studios make their own customized track sheets, for their own equipment.

Re: Question about monitoring / bass levels

Hi Brad, A few things to consider: 1. Where you place these speakers. Are they creating a null where you sit, in the low end? Possibly not fully in the null, but maybe in a valley? 2. The sweet spot of these speakers. Are they aligned properly to have the correct size sweet spot? Big sweet spot = le...

High Sierra and the most current PT update.

It blows. CPU spikes galore, and at random with no fix in sight. Avid and Apple collectively can eat shit.
Oh, that wonderful Bleeding Edge. Gets all of us at some point.

I hope you sort this out, it sucks to have a non functioning computer.

Re: Singer/songwriters need a bib!

While keeping the direct sound more separated, you'll have loads of fun trying to deal with early reflections with this puppy. I remember learning from the engineer who records James Taylor, who sings and plays at the same time: They used a wooden surface, and had it also treated like those gobos yo...
