How long has Pro Tools' bounce function been sketchy?
Well, I stopped using it on version 6.xxx whenever the heck that was.

And they told us then, and every major version since then... NOT to use Bounce.

So... we don't. I am so used to printing to a track, I just never think twice about it.

Re: Troubleshoot intermittant signal loss on one side of stereo buss A&H GL2400

Hi Folks, So, I got a new Allen and Heath GL2400 and I love so much about it, but it's giving me an issue. Every once in a while the right master channel seems to drop about 12 or so db and stay there. Then it'll come back up on its own sometimes. Sometimes there's little pops of distortion. It's i...

Re: Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Cheapest two things you could do right away is switch your mouse to the other hand and then use the Dvorak layout. Both take a little getting used to, but are generally well worth doing. And any modern operating system will have a Dvorak option in the keyboard language settings. I'll try this... af...

Re: Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Thanks Greg! So far so good, the recovery has been quick. I still cannot use my hand as much as I want to, but I guess I just have to get used to going slower. So, no Death Metal solos for now... ;) My understanding is that you get a reprieve, but you still have to fix/reduce the RSI-causing behavi...

Re: Pro Tools HDX not Bouncing all Tracks to Disk!

Then yesterday Pro Tools started bouncing my songs at half-speed! OMG..... Darn. Yep, it may seem as a "long way around" to not use bounce, but, well, you end up spending that time once, not more. I feel your pain. I used to do the AT&T computer voice prompt recordings (726 individual files), so I ...

Re: Pro Tools HDX not Bouncing all Tracks to Disk!

Hi Larry, When it comes to Pro Tools, we learned long, long ago to NOT ever use the "bounce" command. Because of hijinks like this. "I think that the DSP processing of the track split is somehow the culprit" Yes. This is most certainly the issue. Especially since on Native, it does not do this. This...

A sharp blade, followed by that goo gone crap.

Scrape all that off, then repaint.

Have fun, and remember to use a BREATHING FILTER. You don't want any of that shit in your lungs.
