Just picked up a a focusrite mixmaster... very useable compressor section and sits well on the 2-bus too. Don't see these around too much.
also a set of Dynaudio BM5a's... breaking them in right now. These sound very accurate to me, can't wait to start mixing on them.

We're not just talking about lips getting popped and losing some equipment. There is also a real potential for a fire in an old house with old wiring. My house is 100 years old and very few of the wall outlets are grounded. The ones that are just have the third prong going to a 12" copper rod in th...

For safety reasons if there is no equipment ground available at the outlet you should replace the two pronged outlet with GFCI receptacles. They will offer protection from an imbalance in current (a short) and could potentially save your life if you or someone else plugs in anything that is faulty o...

I bought a nice big roll of this at joann online. Comes in different colors, doesn't smell bad. I used it on my corner traps, wall panels and plan on making some gobos yet. I used unbleached muslin for the ceiling, replacing all the 2x2 drop ceiling panels with muslin covered 703. Did a few ceiling ...

This may seem like a silly question, but what's it take to turn these 2 channel strips into a unit that fits into a rack and can have mics plugged into it and send out a signal, like those nifty racked pm1000 units that are so popular around here? For me it took a bit of online research, some rack-...

Another option at least for the a/d is a Lucid 9624. I just picked one up for $400 and they usually can be had used for that or maybe a little more. That's probably the best bang for buck converter in my opinion. I think it's better than the RME ADI which I also have. Maybe not quite as good as the ...
