WTB: 2-track r2r deck $500
Looking for a decent 2-track 1/4" deck 15ips to be used mostly for mixdown. Revox or Otari would be nice. Something in decent condition. Prefer a smaller machine due to space. Somewhere in the $500 range. I'm in eastern PA, 50 miles west of Philly. Would much rather pick up than ship.

Well if I didn't already have 2 of these or needed a few other things that I'm saving for I would grab this in a heartbeat. These are nice pre's, trust me. Much better than a GT brick for sure, I have one of those too. Can't believe they don't get more love than they do. I think it's because they we...

A GFCI receptacle monitors the difference in current between the hot and neutral . If there's an imbalance it will trip. This is true! I had no idea. Learn something new every day. Yes, there's also no problem with plugging in studio equipment to a GFCI. It works the same as a regular outlet with s...

GFCI outlets won't do shit without a ground wire, so forget that. Not exactly true. A GFCI receptacle monitors the difference in current between the hot and neutral . If there's an imbalance it will trip. In fact if you have knob and tube wiring or wiring without a ground in your house your suppose...

Cool idea! I built an iso box and all I can say is you have to try different combinations of absoption and mics until you find something that sounds decent. I personaly would leave the box the way you have it and add fiberglass inside until it sounds the way you want it. I'd start with 50% of the su...

Jim, I think I'm going to try one of these to be used as a feed to my headphone amp. Question about the opamp replacement. I have some LM4562 and OPA2134 here, would either of these be ok to use or should I just buy the LME49722MA? MCM doesn't seem to carry it and I hate to order separate just for o...
