Topic: versatile rackmount guitar preamps?

I've been through several preamps in the last couple months looking to find the one for a rack rig I'm putting together. Marshall JMP-1, Rocktron Piranha, Mesa Triaxis. I've settled on the Triaxis out of the three. With the right tubes in there, it really is the most versatile, and I'm realizing tha...

It really depends a lot on if you are using the multi-effect for amp sims or just effects. Also what is your budget? If you are happy with your amp, I can suggest a Carl Martin Quattro. That will give you OD, Chorus, Delay, Compressor that all sound decent. Carl Martin Plexi-tone is also a great ped...

Sounds awesome, can't wait to get this. I usually take what I read on GS with a grain of salt so that's why I thought I'd get some feedback from here. I really like the design of this unit, hoping it will be a keeper. Jeff seems like a really cool guy, he was great to deal with and turns out he's or...

+1 for ORTF. I use Beyer MC930's usually. No experience with any of the mics you list.

If you're gigging a lot personally I wouldn't bother with something old that needs maintenance. I agree there are some killer old amps out there but why take a chance with one. Get something newer and reliable. Still say mesa, suhr, shiva. Budda makes nice amps. I've never been much of a fender fan ...

I'd look used if i were you.
Maybe a suhr badger, or a bogner shiva if you're lucky to find one at that price.
Mesa tremoverb or Lonestar might be worth looking at.

PM1000 4 channels racked, Triad A-57J output trannies *SOLD*

I have 4 channels of Pm1000's that I would like to get rid of. Love them, just really don't need them as bad as I need a decent 2-bus compressor so it's time to let them go. Looking to get $650 plus costs toward shipping. You can view the pics and info here. http://www.good-audio.com/pm1000.htm I us...

I would not be inclined to release the serial # of items I am selling. There's too many dishonest people and scams out there just like the insurance one posted above. All the gear I have bought , I never needed to see the serial # before buying anything that I can think of. Maybe possibly for some v...
