not a dumb post! I keep all of my boxes as well and only find that I need them AFTER I get rid of them! Seriously. . .i've kept boxes for YEARS and never needed to use them. Once i get rid of them, that's what I need them for something. (selling it, etc) My advice is if it's more than a year old, to...

wow. . .i'm pretty serious about keeping my guitars in shape. besides liking my instruments to look their best, dirt has a way of finding its way to places you DON'T want it. Corroding frets, filthy pots, dry rot/cracking fingerboard. . .all of these things are just bad bad bad. This reminds me of t...

this bugs me too. it's not that there's "too much dynamic range" on DVDs either. you hit the nail on the head with the music. it really doesn't add to the movie to have the music 3x as loud as a building exploding. when you turn that to a reasonable level (even a loud level) you can't hear dialog an...

I've got all of them on vinyl and they're AWESOME.

"Yer Album" is great man. There's a groove at the end of each side that's a complete loop. It keeps saying "Turn me over. . .turn me over. . .turn me over. . ." and then "Play me again. . .play me again. . .play me again. . ."

That IS pretty cool! You said you want to keep your coffee hot for those 4 minutes or so that it's steeping. This will totally do that. Just make sure you don't just leave it sitting in there since it's "keeping it hot." Yucky if it sits in the grinds too long! Talk about BITTER!

It's a replacement to your OS (XP, vista, whatever). You can either replace your existing OS with it or run it on another drive/partition and let it create a boot menu for you. I would caution you, though, that if you're dual booting with Vista you may have to install this FIRST as XP's boot manager...

*drops a Folger's flow-thru bag into a mug full of water and nukes it* what? WHAT?!? I'm not that guy who thinks you're a sinner. 1) Maybe that's how you enjoy it (my mother-in-law only likes Dunkin Donuts or instant coffee!) or 2) Maybe coffee is just a utility (pick-me-up) for you. That's totally...

I got a refurbed Solis Maestro Plus conical burr grinder for $119. coffeegeek.com gave it excellent reviews and it has been bringing me super satisfaction (not to mention uniform grind size) for over a year. http://www.baratza.com//products.php?itemid=17 I can't pass along enough acclaim for the Ba...

+700 on everything Drummerman said. . . Only thing I have to add is that a CONICAL burr grinder is great for any sub-$300 grinders (I used to have a Baratza Virtuoso that had 40mm conical burrs), but for better grinders (I have a Rancilio Rocky with 50mm FLAT burrs) conical burrs offer no advantage....

Sumatra is like dirt. I've had Starbuck's Sumatra and it's like dirt. MY Sumatra is far from dirt. I get unroasted coffee from sweetmarias.com and roast it myself. Unroasted (green) coffee lasts from 1 to 2 years (stored properly) while roasted coffee lasts about a month for regular coffee and 7-10...

Please don't take this as me trying to squash you, strdsk. I believe that you should receive services you pay for. Unfortunately for me, i've been in tight situations like George and have also taken the "low road" and bailed on things. . .and not necessarily in a "send money and parts back immediate...

I can guarantee that if you go with Godaddy you need to use them FOREVER. I registered a domain that I let expire 4 years ago and they're still re-registering it and putting up their ads. I registered another quick site that expired in January, and one that expired in April, and both of them are cu...

Interesting. . . George (Geo, The Tonemaster) came through for both myself and kentothink on some nice pm1000 rigs. He didn't take very long either (mine actually took longer than he wanted. . .I went on my honeymoon and asked him to wait until I got back to ship). As far as I know, he is not a comp...
