i use a wooden chopstick to poke around... anyway, Im halfway through a Redd 47 and there are bleeder resistors that drain out the caps on the board. im guessing there are probably the same thing on the Opto board. just wait a minute after unplugging to start working on it.

002 D/A and summing

so i recently built a 16 ch. summing box. i went to fire the whole scene up and have hit a problem. it seems that i can't monitor my main outputs from the 002 and also send stuff out of outputs 1/2 because it creates a loop. am i thinking right on this? im thinking that if im going to monitor throug...

the search function

im sure it's been said but in case it hasn't... i think the search function of the TOMB could be vastly improved if it were possible to search for terms and limit the search to just thread titles. obviously retaining all the original search functions. not sure if that's a huge undertaking or not but...

Use the tape output as I believe it to be a line level signal. Not sure if the volume knob on the front controls tape output volume or not though. Give it a try but pull your master fader way down first incase there's no volume control.

is it any better if you use just one of them. it would only be mono but maybe only one of them is causing a problem. either way, i would be listening in mono when i nudge those tracks to make it easier to identify phase issues.

Not sure of the exact year. It's in that era but the amp is at the studio and i have to open her up to take a look. Anyway, it's in rock solid condition considering it's age. A few very small tears in the tolex and a very small hole in the grill cloth. It has a new Weber Bass15 in it. Also have the ...
