most two-way monitor's acoustic axis is exactly in between the tweeter and the bass driver. there's specs for these at most manufacturer's sites, at for the better ones who might actually give a fuck about publishing such a thing.

The thing for me is that I worry where it will all end up- a vocalist doesn't need to be in tune, a drummer doesn't need to be able to play in time or well or with decent drums, a guitarist can use guitar rig for all the tones he needs- and more and more it's what some clients expect. It has alread...

if you have an amp with two inputs, and two jacks for each input... take the signal out from jack 2 of whichever input you're using, into the pedal and back into the other channel. this way you can mix the fx/clean bass ratio easily and never lose the low end.

I think there is a nice price gap between what Medium-Large passive monitors can do and what a corresponding active would cost. Add it up, a pair of old JBLs, Tannoys or passive KRS plus an Adcom 555 is still way under a grand. A pair of decent 8 inch or better actives will be way above that, doubl...

Good low-end response starts of course with a speaker that is capable to go as low as needed, but once you have that speaker you're gonna get more trouble than advantage unless the room's really properly treated. That's why a _major_ part of any studios construction budget is spent on things that ar...

Don't care how awesome everyone thinks they are, I don't like them.
I've heard that a lot. Then after two days they suddenly are likeable. Plus the guitars are in tune, which generally is seen as a good thing.

what does the boss tuner pedal do that is bad? I use one and don't really notice anything. But i'm only using a volume pedal, rat, holier grail along with it... and I'm deaf and a horrible guitar player so i'm sure it really doesn't matter. It has a buffer that might be a good thing, but might also...

that Boss Tuner has a buffer in it, so as well as giving your signal some "boost" it will affect on how well the stuff after it reacts to your playing/pickup volume etc. Malekko is all digital, and my experiences with digital pedals in a mostly analog signal chain have always ended up in dumping the...
