Need some help w/ schematics & building mic cable for CM
Hello folks. I discovered my original cmv563 cable which runs between the mic and power supply has a large gash in the middle of it which doesn't look like it can be repaired. 4 of the internal cables have been severed. Looks like I need to build myself a new cable. I have plenty of experience build...

CMV563+m7s. I was pretty happy with 4038s on violins and cellos before; the 563 was just that much better - especially on the violins. Had two bands in this weekend and got to try it on electric guitars (ranged from bad to passable), hand percussion (as good as played-so-fast hippie drums will ever...

im a fan of the vinyl and download code thing. if a band or artist has a piece of wax to buy at the show, im more prone to buy one. even more so if the group is good and they look like they spent some time putting together a great packaging for the album. this is a good example of excellent packagin...

hmm so are you wanting to record each drum mic to a separate track on your otari? what i would do in your case is set the levels, eq, and panning of the drums and just run it out the main outs. if you want to make decisions on how you want the drums to sound, this is where you will do it. before you...

i highly endorse your decision haha im sure there are a million ways to work both of those in your mix. not sure how you are recording your drums, but ive seen that neve used as a drum mixer. how many mics do you use to record your kit? you may want to hook the master outs up to 2 channels of the ot...

ive got a 563 and have to say i use it mainly for vocals, but it gets some love when i record handclaps and various other percussion. love how rich it sounds. sits very well in the mix on its own, but a bit of eq in the 3K region gives it some additional presence. mine came with the M7 and M9. haven...

your studio is amazing. what i can appreciate about your setup is that you dont have loads and loads of outboard processing visible. not sure if you have much of that but it looks like you utilize what you have to create your sound than have a smorgasbord of preamps, compressors, etc etc. i respect ...
