You might want to try http://store.guitarfetish.com/ Squiers and other imports have a different spacing than USA made guitars and generally places like Warmoth and Stew Mac have mostly only USA spaced replacement parts. I think import spacing on the two pole type bridges is 10.5mm. Or at least... I ...

Re: Recording DRUMS with LESS HI-HAT please....

Here are some of my findings with this: 1. Tune the room if you can. Get some "sounding deading board" from Home Depot (its REALLY cheap) Hey man I'm just curious, what is sound deadining board? Is there another name I might know it by? Maybe thats whats throwing me. . I'm wondering so I can find i...

Re: just ordered - shure sm7 and ev 635

update Ordered the SM7 and the 635 last Monday afternoon. They arrived today. I miced up my Vox Pathfinder and noodled a bit. First was the 635 into a UA m-610. In the 25 minutes I messed around with it it seemed like it sounded great. I think it might be what I've been looking for. I'll know for su...

Re: Names NOT to Use for Your STUDIO

You guys have just named about every studio in South Florida. I?m not even kidding. I'd like to add some names to the list but the studios I'm thinking of are still open (and doing well actually) and I typically try to not even acknowledge any of these guys. I wonder if any of them read this board? ...

I got it from FullCompass.com

You have to call in and get the price because its not advertised on their website. I see them mostly for 369, but FullCompass only wants a touch over 300 for it.

just ordered - shure sm7 and ev 635

I just ordered a Shure Sm7 and an EV 635a. They should be here in 3-4 days and I?m pretty excited. From my experience with my collection, other people's mics, and from lurking here daily it just seems to me that my money is probably better spent on things like the Sm7 or Re20, 635, 421 etc, than man...

Re: Cheap Cans: MoreMe's or HD202's?

I like the MoreMe's. The sound, to me, is plenty good enough for tracking. They get loud enough to track with drums without distorting or getting too thin. I even use them in the vocal booth, although depending on the person I switch out to something better. They seem comfortable to me. Personally I...

Re: Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, NC - RTP in da' house

I live in South Florida now, but I just thought I'd voice that I'm about 70 percent convinced now that the Raleigh/Durham area is where I'll be moving in 2 or 3 years. Count me in around about 2007.

Re: ipod pro-audio interface dreams need to become reality

I've got some questions that maybe the I-Pod users could help me out with. This topic came up at a great time. I would love an mp3 player to keep a big library of music with me... I'd like to be able to play it on my car stereo (fm transmitter would be best right?). I'd like to be able to record ban...

CB radio microphone

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone knows off hand how to wire a cb radio microphone to an xlr plug. Is that even possible? I used to be really into collecting and using cb radios and I have a bunch of nice cb mics (yes they actually make REALLY nice cb radio mics) that might be somewhat cool as effec...

Re: Control Room-less studios.

Yeah everything Stapes said... just switch out the word Florida for Texas and I'm not sure what headphones hes talking about but I use these crazy ones that my dad used in Vietnam in the early 70s. Work well and I look all crazy retro. Anyway... yeah what he said.
