RME ADI-2 w/ Apogee rosetta ad 48k and digi 002???
I just ordered an RME ADI-2. I already own an apogee rosetta ad 48 and a digi 002. What's the best way to use these all together? Or can I use them all together? My thought process is 2 channels Rosetta -->digi 002 optical input and 2 channels RME into Digi 002 spdif input. Will this work? or altern...

Perfect condition. Bought it about three months ago. Only used it twice. Need to sell it to fund a black lion mod on my digi 002.

I have a 99 SG Standard and I love it. I've owned a decent number of different guitars (including a 79 les paul custom i wish i'd never sold) and it's the only one that's stuck around, I'll probably keep it forever. i've also played a lot of the other faded sg/ sg specials, etc.... and have found th...

when you said it sounded trashy, i expected something pretty unusable, but that's actually really cool and vintage-ish! think i'm gonna have to build one now.

Not to burn down the rain forests or anything, but that page seems like maybe a good candidate for the old "print it out and leave it by the crapper" trick. You could save a few pages by bringing it into open office and trimming it a bit. Hell, maybe your husband/wife or SO would learn something to...

Apogee?
PT HD is a money pit. I wouldn't do it unless you're planning on recording for a living full time for the next decade on it to recoup expenses. An apogee ensemble is like 1/8th the price of a PT HD setup and sounds just as good. Great converters, solid pre's and expandable. Paired with logic it work...

converting garage into studio in a residential neighborhood?
My friend is contemplating turning his rather large garage (with Loft apt. above in one corner) into a recording studio. I'm trying to help him figure out if it's possible/ worth it. He lives in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood. The neigbors will not be happy if it's not isolated properly. Th...

BTW
speaking of Kurt's planter trick, which i'm def. gonna try, anyone have any other tips for reducing hi-hat/ cymbal wash? I had a nightmare with that on my last session. I know, i know have the drummer play them softer...but this is punk rock/hardcore!

Success!
After speaking with Brett at Apogee this morning (thanks a ton!) as well as receiving an email response from Mike at Motu, I finally have the MOTU successfully running as a slave to the Apogee via adat optical. Turns out i had the hardware hooked up correctly but didn't understand how MOTU's Cuemix ...
