well i don't have anything at the moment. I don't write much that's why I was hoping to play on someone else's stuff. I might have something interesting in the archives. I'll have to do some digging through some hard drives. I know I had a bunch of stuff at one point in time that was just rhythmic i...

Collaboration anyone?
I haven't been on tomb in a really long time and I used to trade tracks with people and play on their stuff. I would like to do some of this again. It was a ton of fun. I play bass and drums. anybody need rhythm tracks?

All good ideas. I cannot post a clip. I do not have any of the files. they are all on his computer. I ended up cutting it at 240Hz -3 dB and 522Hz -4.5 dB and giving it a little air. It sounds alright. Any person who doesn't deal with mixing and stuff wouldn't notice. And it's one track out of 30. t...

Vocal Mix problem
So for the past couple of days I have been mixing a project. It's catholic music with a latin thing going on. My question to all of you is this... On one of the tracks the vocal is pretty messed up. It was recorded in a small vocal booth at the clients house. It has a window in it. When he recorded ...

Inline PAD for Subkick
So don't rip my head off I'm still new at this building my own gear stuff. I built a subkick. It works pretty well but as with most sub kicks it is way too hot. I Want to make a Pad. My idea is to build one in the housing of the speaker I used. And then Have a switch to turn it on and off. It's way ...

thanks again. I was considering building a woofer. I've wanted to do it for a while. Correct me if I'm wrong. isn't it basically a speaker wired backwards? Do you need any capacitors or resistors or anything? I built a little omni mic for a friend not that long ago and it had 2 resistors and two cap...

Yeah I did that. I found the best place in the room. (the room is about 12x10 and 8 ft ceilings. small windows and carpet) I tuned my drums as nicely as I can. The kick does sound good in the room. I'm just going to try moving them around a little bit more. I tried the gt about a foot off the ground...

Oh have. I spent like two days. I don't have an omni. also the room sounds terrible. the highs are super piercing and harsh. and when I eq them out i don't like. Thus the mic being so close. I got it in a place where I like the balance of the cymbal hi hat and snare. My kit is only those and a kick.

Drums with two mics
So i've been trying to record my drums. I have a lack of decent mics. One. and a crappy vocal dynamic. This is the best set up I have so far. Since i don't have a rack tom that's about where I put the mic. A lot closer the the snare though. I use my GT55. Which is alright. It gives a pretty decent m...
