Sweeeeet. Glad to see some Shiner love still out there and kids picking up on that vastly underappreciated band. I discovered them just as they were splitting and still kick myself that I never got a chance to see them live. Quite possibly still my favourite rock band ever, and Paul most definitely ...

Whoa... If this is reliable and not buggy, it will kick some major ass! That's a big "if" based on my experiences with the ZED R16. Sold mine after it spent more time in the repair shop than in my studio. Great idea but the FW connectivity was completely flakey. First unit I got died twice, then th...

Allen & Heath ZED R16 firewire mixer will give you 16 channels of decent pres, nice eq and OK converters. Recent price drop too due to the impending ZED R24. Recent sold mine. Nice sounding board, but found myself preferring more and more ITB in terms of workflow, and don't need more than a couple o...

...as i kinda mentioned in an earlier post, I think it's because A&H essentially outsourced the digital/connectivity/driver aspects of the design. Mike did a fantastic job on the analog capabilities (which no one complains about) but the DAW integration is very immature compared to the likes of the ...

Might also mention that the ZED R16 is really fussy about what firewire card you're using. FW cards with VIA or generic chipsets don't play nice (VIA is ok under XP32) but Texas Instruments chipsets seem to be fine. Switching out my VIA card for a TI this week and will test under W7 (64 bit) and rep...

I've had a ZED R16 for over a year now. Perfect little centrepiece for my hybrid OTB/ITB setup. Had some issues with the firewire card dying on me in two different units (it was a known issue with the first batch of units out there) but A&H sorted that eventually and haven't had problems in several ...

Have had mixed results dealing with A&H Support over the last 12 months. I found their guys in the UK to be very friendly and things eventually got sorted but it just took a little longer than I'd like. I have had 2 of their new ZED R16 boards die on me due to firewire issues. The first also had a c...

Ditto.....need to do the same to actually cancel my free subscription as I'm moving out of the EU back to Oz.

I was also looking to move to the paid subscription for Australia but the link is dodgy.

Can say the same about my Event ASP8's. Plenty of low-end. I'm currently stuck in a small-ish room but it's acoustically treated.

Did at least a couple of shows with THE GOAT at the Espy and the Prince of Wales in Melbourne many years back when I was in my late teens. Stu scared the living crap out of me (I wasn't alone there). "In the Raw" is a classic and their nude performance of it on national TV will go down in Australian...
