I found it to be a '59-'62 Humbucker. The patent number(2737842) on the back is a mis-stamp which was corrected sometime in '62.

Some info would be even better.

One other thing I wanted to note about this bass. The body and neck are one piece. And it has the DeArmond Goldtone Bass humbucking pick-ups. I am amazed at how difficult it can be to pin point an instrument. I had a hard time finding the specifics on an SG I bought a few years back.

i am curious about how to achieve a decent chorus effect for live shows. something that i would be able to control myself. are there any decent foot pedals out there that are good for vocals? a multi effect perhaps?
