I'll post another tomorrow and we'll see if I've made any progress. This stuff in REALLY important to me, so I'm trying to do the best i can.

Alright. Thanks.

Guess I didn't realize I was under the scrutiny of the spelling police. :) Typists beware, checkpoints are everywhere.

Boundry Mics?

I just bought 7 Beyerdynamic MPC23's. They are boundry mics typically used in conference rooms and such. I have no idea why I bought them. I guess it just seemed like a good idea at the time. Well, that and the fact that my wife pushed me into it. I was about to give up on the ebay auction when magi...

So Far Gone - Adam Hooks and His Hangups

Just getting into this album. First track is pretty much squared away. I'd like to hear some thoughts on the overall sound of the recording/mix. Any and all comments welcome. I feel like the ride cymbal is stealing the show, but haven't figured out a good way to combat that. On the fence about vocal...

I second that in Albuquerque. Listen to it frequently. I even find myself noodling the 'Getting Pretty Good....' guitar line. Good stuff. Keep 'em coming.

I'm glad this got posted. I have the same problem with my Sansui A-60. So, after reading this post, I ran to the electronics supply place and bought some cleaner/lubricant. I hosed down the pots, and anything else I thought might need it, and voila - problem solved.

So funny to see the C1000 in the loop. Posted about them awhile ago, when I sold them to buy a couple 3035s. I'll say it again. Not a great mic in retrospect, but I always found the key to be... Don't point them directly at ANYTHING. They like to be overshot. Otherwise they're grainy as hell. So, af...

Love the 3035's. They're cheap right now because they don't make them anymore. I picked up a PAIR for $200 shipped...new. They don't sound quite as good as the AT4050, but they are very close. I use them on everything. From where did you get such a great deal? I could use a pair of ok LDC's to take...

+1 on the Italia. Cool guitar. Great tone.

I never thought I'd say this but DAMN - this 1982 Ibanez Destroyer II that i just traded a 90's Big Muff (Russian) for is AMAZING sounding. Puts all my guitars to shame. Nice, expensive American guitars no less.

True story.

I just picked up a TubeWorks Rock 301 pedal last week. for $40...I couldn't believe how good it sounded. It has a 12AU7 Mullard in it, and an actual three prong power cord. I'm not sure if the tranny has been modded or not but this thing KILLS.

Epi Valve Jr...Anyone else like theirs better BEFORE Bitmo

I swear I liked mine better before I did the Bitmo Trio Mod. Anybody else have a similar experience? Now I want to buy another and leave it stock. I feel that the way the amp responded to guitar volume and tone nobs was WAY better stock.
