a drop like that might be a formatting issue i.e. you recorded it at 48 khz and are playing it back at 44 khz. aside from that? the next most logical thing is tape slowdown, and I think you'd know if that was the case.

Has anyone considered getting their metalzone pedal modded? both Analogman and Robert Keeley do MT-2 mods that get rid of a lot of the noise. Of course, it may only help a bit insofar as tone suck, but if you people have them lying around and are willing to give it a shot, it could be interesting.

That said, you can either 1) RTFM for the 896 (I have one, and it's in there) 2) look for the motu control panel, as that's where that particular control should be. Or at least, that's where that control is on the pc side.
