Agreed: Some sort of reflection filter + blanket behind the singer works really well. It made a huge difference in vocal tracks for me.

Just had a happy accident involving gating.

Ended up having some issues with my 388 and had to send a mono mix to Logic. Copied the track a couple of times and we heavily gated and blended to taste.
