audiofire 12 and 4

so, after using an audiofire 4 for a couple years or so, i went out and bought an audiofire 12 to use with my soundcraft 16 channel mixer. and wow - the 12 has noticeably more clarity! (so much more that i feel like maybe i should remix a bunch of stuff.) in case anyone was wondering if there's a di...

vox pathfinder ministack - speakers replacement?

Hello, I don't know that much about speakers, ohms etc. even though i've been playing guitar for a long time, oddly. So I have this question that maybe someone can help me with. I have a Vox Pathfinder ministack that I keep at home - separate 15w amp with 2X10 cab - i think the speakers are Celestio...

I used to have an RNC compressor, but then it kicked the bucket, so to speak. I have a dbx 160A now, and I like it way better. It did cost more but I think the extra hundred bucks or whatever was worth it. The RNC was cool, but the dbx makes me go wow! more often, if that makes sense and seems to wo...

i hate rocker guitars. total slumlord as far as his little empire of overpriced crappy practice spaces, and they ripped me off on some guitar pedal there years ago before I knew better. and i know at least three other people who were ripped off there. go to real guitars on lafayette. just my two cen...

ok, i realize that my previous post didn't make the soundcraft sound so great.. no pun intended. um, my first live sound job involved an old Ramsa board and I loved that board - I used to record the shows to cassette while mixing on the fly, and a lot of bands liked the recordings. and that was just...

as a fellow person in band who records, using a soundcraft fx16 mixer and audiofire4 (planning on upgrading to 12), i think it sounds pretty good for the money. i used to do live sound and can say from that, that soundcraft and allen & heath mixers sound way better than mackies i've used. i also hav...

that's funny that someone said the audiofire headphone volume is too low. i have the audiofire4 and i think it's really loud (headphone output). i never have the volume knob past 9 o'clock, and all of my friends think i'm deaf from playing in bands for too long, so i don't know.. i like my audiofire...

thanks to both of you for the advice. i guess i was being over protective of my computer (not wanting to bring it to the practice space) because it's probably the nicest thing i own.. but yes, imac's are actually pretty portable and i'm liking the idea of an audiofire 12 via the mixer i already have...

mx2424 imac

you know, i was thinking about your suggestion and it kind of makes sense. i'm not so psyched about the tascam mx2424 OR the alesis hd24 now, knowing that they're not really compatible with my computer.. the reason i was considering them is because i wanted something portable and not involving a lap...

mx2424 on imac os x

well, in case anyone is wondering about the answer to my question: according to Tascam, I would need OS 9 to run MX View. And they didn't seem to think a BootCamp version of Windows XP would work..

can i use Tascam MX2424 with Intel iMac OS 10.4?

Hello. Long time fan of this messageboard. Usually I can find answers to my questions already posted, but not this time. I may have a chance to buy a used Tascam MX-2424 for around $8-900 and have some questions about it. I noticed on the Tascam website that they stopped support for it before the ne...
