The drums kill it for me. I guess Ringo turned into a robot in the parallel dimension.

Bless you and thank you for that link. I spent this morning streaming 'Scream' from Chris Cornell's website, trying to figure out what the hell was going on... this makes me feel so much better.

Anyone have any more feedback on bandcamp? it looks really good... myspace has gotten spammier, and now their music player only streams. I'm looking around for a good place to host digital album downloads. soundclick seems okay, but has sort of an internet backwater feel to me. They're trying to get...

There's a similarity in melody. It's also in Marty Balin's 'Hearts' which is older than both. Give all the money to Balin!

Is it alright to do this if I'm not a knowledgeable Will Oldham fan? I hope that's okay, because I'm not either. I've been wanting to get involved in one of these TOMB cover projects for a while, and I thought this one would be interesting and challenging, since I'm a non-fan. Will Oldham is someon...

Oh man, yes is the james gang ever good (with Joe Walsh, that is... don't have any post-Walsh material).
If you like Thirds, have you checked BARNSTORM? Joe continued with his more acoustic, ballad-y songwriter-y side on this first post-gang album.

"Check out this beat"

yeah... that's a weird one. It's that hip hop thing, where everything that you hear that's not the emcee rapping is the "beat," made by the "producer."
