FS: Spring Cleaning/Moving Sale (Chicago)

I'm moving and can't justify taking this stuff with. I prefer to deal locally with some of the heavier stuff (like the Jazz Chorus and maybe the S2000). All these are best offer. Akai S2000 Rackmount Sampler - $125 -RAM maxed to 32mb -Disk of TR-505 sounds -Original OS 1.5 and manual included http:/...

I was actually just going back to Mellon Collie recently. So many sleepers, but I always liked the softer jams.

I may get some flack for this, but I absolutely love Fleetwood Mac's Tusk. "Think About Me" is pure pop gold and "Storms," don't get me started on "Storms"

My Juno doesn't have MIDI, so I just use the arp clock in.

I've been using the 626 as a sound module AND patching the rimshot trigger out to the Juno's arp clock in, but that hasn't been working. I don't know if the trigger out just doesn't respond to MIDI or what.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I used some deox it and the dial's working much better with the occasional hiccup. I can actually use this thing now! I've been using headphones with it, but I noticed that the RCA outs are a little glitchy. As soon as I hit play, the volume drops and everything is d...

Repairing faulty jog wheel (Boss DR 202)

So the jog wheel turns fine and works as it should physically, but the machine itself only wants to increase the value I am dialing, regardless of which way I'm turning it. For example, if I'm skimming through kits and want to go back one or two, I have to go through all of the kits until it goes ba...

Yeah, so the 626 has the two mains plus 8 individual outputs (kick, snare, lo tom, mid tom, hi tom, hi hat, ride, crash). The 626 also has a separate trigger output, which sends the 5+v signal to the juno's arp clock in. I know that I have that plugged in correctly, but it's when I bring the QY20 in...

I've been able to trigger the arpeggio with the rim shot click if I use the 626 as the sequencer. In other words, if I write the beat (including the rim shot part) on the 626 it will trigger the arpeggio. But if I write the beat with the rim shot part on the QY20 and send that via MIDI to the 626, i...

Trigger Juno Arperggio with TR 626 b/w external sequencer?

Not sure if it can be done since I haven't been able to find anything online or in the TR 626 manual, BUT: I thought I'd try sequencing my 626 via my trusty yamaha QY20, which works great except that I can't trigger the Juno's arpeggio anymore with the Rim shot track. Instead, I have to sequence the...

Duet with a Patchbay?

Greetings. I'm thinking about moving into a patchbay setup to help work flow a bit. What I've been doing recently is monitoring all my gear (along with the Duet) through a little Mackie mixer and for recording, I'll unplug, say, a synth from the board and go direct into the Duet (not really using ou...

Finally found a *mint* Akai S612 and MD-280 disk drive with some disks, mainly bought it as part of a project I am working on...but also interested in hooking it up to my Akai AX 60 as well as using it as a signal processor. Funny, I JUST picked up an S612. Unfortunately, the MD-280 won't read the ...

I suppose a simple covering agent WOULD help ward off any potential feline threats. I will have to think on this... I've been perusing craigslist also, but all the deals seem to be outside city limits, which means getting a zip car or something and thus making the deal less deal-y. For now, I've got...

Hey jgimbel, that's a really informative video. Extremely helpful, thanks.

I did have my eye on the RAST and that's what I've been leaning towards. Only bummer is the $10 shipping. I'd go pick it up myself but no car. At the end of the day though, the whole shebang will still cost me under $50.

The milk crate is a great idea. Hadn't thought of that. If the bellari wasn't missing the top cover (and if I didn't have cats), I'd consider going that route, but I need something that's enclosed to protect the bellari from all that hair...
