Hey Andy; THANX! That was something I actually didn't now. I always thought that a master clock bypassed the internal clock...or something. I am looking into some other preamps without ADAT anyway as my Mackie SDR can record 24 tracks @ 96 through the analog ins. I used a millenia to test the diffen...

Don't agree on the C1000. I actually like 'm. It's not like I use 'm on anything but they are OK on acoustic guitar and various other acoustic instruments. So there are better mic's I prefer but the C1000 is not as bad as some posters say IMO. By the way; I own the older grey ones. But then; I also ...

Slaving the 002 to the lightpipe would be the way to go BUT.. And this is a major but. The clock in the ADA8000 is very very weak. So best way would be to buy a decent (maybe even cheap) clock to make the results way better. There are some pretty decent clocks on the market for reasonable prices. I ...

mackie, behringer, word clock

Hi there, I just bought a Mackie SDR 24 track. I love the fact that I can record 24 tracks at 96 khz. Just through the analog ins though. I also already own ADA8000's by behringer. They have external clock in. I was thinking about upgrading the ADA8000's by sending them to Black Lion. I think their ...

There is no faster than realtime on protools. The only way is AudioSuite rendering which is 1 plug in at a time. Print to another track is the fastest way.

Working with and happy with some nice analog delays. BUT... (I can almost feel some recations coming for this one) I use my Line6 EchoPro the most. Nothing analog about that, but it's got such a warm tone and it is very easy to use. Sadly they don't make m anymore.

In this pricerange you should check out ADAM sub 7 as well. I did a comparison for a sub to match my own Questeds and a friend did the same for his tannoys (forgot the model). The Tannoy was not bad at all, but the ADAM added punch as well as just low end. Without going much deeper it just sounded s...

3 years? On a Mac? I am still using my G4/400 as a server and stopped using it as a TDM set less than 2 years ago. I think it is from '99 (or maybe begin 2000.) But at a studio I work in, we also have a 2005 model with problems. We're having the power transformer (sdat what ya call it in english) re...

Don't worry, I am just wondering how this all works, not at all a*** about it. And to answer your question: Working in HD (now) YES I can hear the difference. I hear it on reverb, on guitar and piano. Not so much on drums. But I do know there are MANY variables and reasons why this is. I have not ye...
