oops, i was only thinking about 1/4" connectors. i agree on the newer Neutrik XLR plugs being better. however, sometimes i prefer the Switchcraft XLR jacks.

Dead, I know some of the early models, like the real 68's/72's had two single coils, but I haven't seen any of them with HB neck and SC bridge. Just from what I've seen so far, it seems like it might only be japanese reissues, whether from the 80s or 90s, that could possibly have one HB and one SC....

the early Telecaster Thinlines had a single coil in the bridge position. i think this changed in the early 70s.

mine sit around getting stiff and arthritic and when i pick them up all they do is complain about how things aren't like they used to be. of course, most of my guitars are between 30 to 40 years old.
