Would building a small loft change the effective dimensions of the room? Say, an insulated (for dampening) slab six feet deep, across the full length of one wall, 3/5ths of the way up? For your calculations, would that look like a room with an extreme el or would sound waves pretty much ignore it?

First, OWN that you are using an obsolete and novel medium. If things are rough, that's fine. Just make it clear that it's intentional. 8) Try using a stencil and spay paint for illustration on the tape and leave the details for the insert in the case. I've done some pretty cool three-tone images pr...

If there is enough metal left over (and it wouldn't take much) you could drill out the threads with a bit slightly larger than the stripped out hole and cut new threads. A tap set is great to have around, but it would be easy to get an individual tap and a matching bolt at the same store. For that m...

What do you want to build? Tube-based guitar amps are different from tube studio compressors and solid state guitar amps for that matter. Give out some details and I bet someone has a great story to tell. There are a lot of great, basic electronic books (many available on-line) but that can be overw...

Piano reverb

People here have talked about using a piano as reverb before-- in the beginning of this video they go a little further and, among other things, use some kind of program that encourages feedback but keeps it from running away. The rest of the episode has some fun ideas to build off of.... http://blog...

I think the magazine has great looking covers-- maybe you could do small runs of each cover as they come out. Short story-- I really like how threadless.com just makes small quantities of tees and there are so many different designs. This variety and relative uniqueness somehow gives emphasis to wha...
