There was an engineer who used to work out of Normandy Sound in Rhode Island who could only hear out of one ear who has many gold and platinum records with his mix credit on them.

Once a tape is baked, the contents on it are only usable for a very limited time.

I wouldn't count on being able to use them to record on again.

I think the idea is to get them all sounding as good as possible.

One thing to keep in mind is that with any mp3 coded at 192 and lower, usually everything above 16 kHz will be pretty much non existent. With 256 and 320 kbps anything above 18K will be gone. That is probably the best way to see what will work out best for you.

Good suggestions so far. I use the Dorrough A's and love them even though they are not "real" Vu's.
