Once a tape is baked, the contents on it are only usable for a very limited time.
I wouldn't count on being able to use them to record on again.

One thing to keep in mind is that with any mp3 coded at 192 and lower, usually everything above 16 kHz will be pretty much non existent. With 256 and 320 kbps anything above 18K will be gone.
