he's a smart dude, and he knows how to get people talking. tough love. i'm sure he looks at that interview as an ad..... whatever, i could be wrong. he's also a grumpy old man. he knows better, he just doesn't care. it really is that simple. he's been pissing people off his whole life. i think it's ...

normally i would leave this alone, but i want to support the tape op crew for putting the review in the mag. in hopes that things like this will continue to happen. it's a good read. creativity is born from many sources, and i believe the word creative is actually on the cover. for anybody to compla...

i'd say if learning how to play drums is a huge priority, by all means get and electronic set. if, however, you believe that an electronic set will help you to emulate an acoustic set, i think you would be better off using samples. I'M TALKING BANG FOR THE BUCK HERE. i believe that it's somewhat of ...

Re: The Velvet Underground Sounds
yo nestle,
was it the "i spent a week" record?
that's some cool shite.
i agree that alot of their sound comes from the fingers. as far as production, try a 4 track. an old one.
of course that may be bullshit, take a look a sgt pepper, this is one of those age old questions yo!

Re: film sound advice
i was hoping production, i'm pretty sure i could fake my way though post,(of course that's yet to be seen). at first, i'm sure it would be student type volunteer things, but hopefully within a reasonable amount of time be able to make a few bucks, depending on the learning curve. your "way more comp...

film sound advice

Re: Venue/Promoter getting a cut from Merch?
this happens all the time here in smelL A. some of these clubs make over $2000.00 before the doors are even opened for the evening. the bands sell tickets (local bands)and give the club the money at soundcheck. oh, and 10% of merch sales as well. can't say i blame the clubs because people keep on pa...
