yeah,
the v-2 and the vt-40 are the same. they used the same chassis i think too.
as far as modifying the amp goes, have you tried it like it is now? im a firm believer in "if it aint broke dont fix it" it may work fine for bass or guitar.

the V-2 preamp circuit is identical to the V-4. yes, there was only one model V-2 and it quickly became the V-3. i think they just dropped the reverb?

i always thought of the goal of recording is to make a good record. no more no less. pitch correction is a tool. thats all i see it as. i dont think an artist should have any obligation to be able to recreate every aspect of a record live. why not make a killer record if you have the resources to do...

Opinions on Rode NT5?
seems like a pretty fair price. anyone have any experience with them? if so, what did you think? if someone could also recommend overheads in the same price range that they liked that would be great too.
