Very silly.

If you're one of those stuffy types then you won't like this. If you have a sense of humour and an appreciation for the silly, you'll love this stuff. I put all these together over the course of a couple of nights. All utterly silly... and most hard as hell to play. http://server5.hxcm...

One final bump before the eBay spree begins. If you requested pics you should have them now. *EDIT* I would also like to mention that I have a Jackson 4x12 up for sale as well. It's an amazing cabinet. One of those pieces I never thought I'd let go of... but moving is much more important than any pi...

How about that piano that comes in right in the middle of The Runaways' "American Nights". *VOMIT* Whoever the hell put that there should be summarily castrated. "Hey, I have an idea... let's put the Layla outro right in the middle of a song that rocks balls.

Moron.

no. expecting software to actually emulate an amp competely is unreasonable, or at least "unrealistic." You're making the assumption that I'm expecting 100% accuracy. I'm not. I'm not even expecting vague accuracy. I honestly don't care how close a sim sounds to the real amp, I just want something ...

I'm being SILLY. Consider this thread in conjunction with all the "How do I get X sound?" threads. Then lighten up.

So expecting an amp sim to not have four times as much noise as the amps its emulating is unreasonable. Got it.

As we all know, the gear doesn't matter. It's how you use it. So stop talking about gear and go to the pawn shop and pick up one of those mini tape recorders. They have built in mics so you don't even need a mic. You just have to use it right.

Let's give 'er a bump. I've been busy recording so I haven't had a chance to take any pictures. My apologies to anyone that has requested them. I will get them to you as soon as I possibly can.

Not that kind of noise. I actually don't have any problems with hum created by my monitor when I use amp plugins. I'm talking purely about amp hiss type noise. It's quite annoying. I'm liking the Bassman model a lot too. Throw the Rat sim in front of it and you have one nasty-ass tone for beefing up...

I'm not worried about noise when there's dead silence. I always cut out those bits anyway. What's tweaking my tits is on notes that aren't played full-tilt. If you try to play with dynamics, you end up getting insane noise levels over the quiet parts. If you try to sustain a note, you end up with th...

Noise with amp sim plugins

I use Guitar Rig, Amplitube, and Warp to get most of my guitar tones when recording these days. The only issue I have is that even at moderate gain settings all of these programs have UNGODLY amounts of noise. How do you guys cope with it?

Bob: Yeah, I can see the Contra evocation there. The first song is going to be rerecorded one of these days. When I tracked the guitars I was running through a Sansap GT2 straight into the board. It was the best I had, but I've found better now. John: I actually wanted that kick to sound...

I've been using the rackmount setup I have listed in the classified for bass for a couple of months now without incident. The only downside to using a guitar cabinet is that you don't get the extended low end handling that a bass cab provides but for a more melodic bass sound they work just fine.
