Yes - the model at TapeOp is XLNT - people love it, partly because it's free, and consequently read it and save the issues, pass them around, etc. The whole ad thing doesn't feel creepy, and so with the reader relaxed and feeling chill they might actually feel comfortable enough to explore products...

Yeah - This beast is better than using something that's more rack oriented for pedals - being a pedal itself, it's more suited than my Creation Audio Labs MW-1 somehow. Don't get me wrong, the MW-1 rocks, but this has some very cool twists. I'm glad I have both, they bring different assets to truly,...

Guitar Fetish!

I'd put together one from the parts there - Maybe a neck from Warmoth instead, but get an unfinished body - the paint they use these days kills the tone. Guitar Fetish may not use it, but for the money, their parts rule. Ask (email) about the finishes, makes a big difference in tone. Pickups kill, t...

Sorry - am I missing something? I thought there was always kick and snare mics with this setup. I've been doing it that way, and can usually overcome leaning problems by bleeding in these to taste and panning to the opposite side of the lean. Not that I give a sh*t too much about that stuff - but so...

My 262 has sliders that add/subtract gain to 2 eq knobs called hi and lo or something - 50 - 1k for lo, 500 - 10k for hi. I like the idea of predelay and modulation Joel - a perfect use for my line6 rack echo and mod pros. Better with the real thing after, smart.

EV 635a, baby. They're super vibey - not much bottom, but natural, in an old school way. Nice on acoustic guitar, clean amps, and loves drum rooms. Certain vocals, too.

My 262 ROCKS! Very platish. It has semi-parametric EQ for each side. Best of about 6 I've got. eBay score.

Rick Ruben used KM84s angled down about 3 feet away on clean amps when I used to work at Sound City.

Eminence Red Fang!!!! Alternately Celestion Blue or Silver, but the Emmie does it for me - alnico, sweet highs, and you won't blow it. Is the Vibroverb RI point to point? Oh - and is it a 15" speaker? forgot about that... I have a Legend 151 from Eminence - bright and chunky.
