dude, you gotta explore the tomb crawl space... hellyeah... pirate ghosts are back there. Took pics with a buddies camera - the camera isn't recognized by my computer for some reason... Will find a way to get them up here because, seriously, this place is creepy. The flash pics from inside the tomb...

What did you use to setup a loop from his guitar track. I realized watching it that loop making is a skill my clients haven't ever demanded of me, and I don't know crap about it. The way it looks in the video, you came up with a very musical loop from his track in a short time. Where were you guys ...

You have the blueprints for your 100 year old house? How did that happen? Well - they're actually plans drawn up, i'm assuming, when the place was remodeled. We found them in one of the rooms in the basement when we moved in. Admittedly - the work they were doing probably didn't necessitate the mea...

Processing latency with digital outboard?

I tried to UTFSF... I really did. To anyone that uses digital outboard processors and records them back into their computer: Here's the deal - in my basement i'm running a Saffire 'PRO' 40 with Logic 8. I recorded a metronome beat - ran it out of the Saffire and then back into it. The round trip was...

Funny. Just last night - sitting in my brand spanking new basement space... It's a terrifying basement. Really big, totally unfinished brick and dark wood - there's a corner we affectionately call the "snuff film corner." Complete with a 2x2 hole in the brick wall that goes into some dark, tomb-like...

Holy crap. I've certainly never heard these. Unbelievably inspiring. Makes me want to reread that Geoff Emmerick book.

Thanks for the link.

Yeah - it's really as simple as it seems. Make sure the speaker can handle the wattage of the amp... If they're WAY over (say 100watt speaker from an 18 watt amp) it can sound a bit dull, if it's not being pushed. If it's a 20W speaker on a 100W amp - you can blow it out. Two 30w speakers for a 50w ...

Steffan, I don't think they have copper foil at home depot. I could mail you a couple strips to use if you want. No luck at the music shop - they don't use it and they don't have a supplier for it. If you could send a small strip of it my way that'd be fantastic. I'll pay you back for the shipping ...

Steffan, I don't think they have copper foil at home depot. I could mail you a couple strips to use if you want. I may take you up on that, but not yet. I have some friends at a local music shop down here. I'll call em up tomorrow and see if I can steal a few inches from em tomorrow. I'll let you k...

I'm going to be soldering up a storm tonight, so I figured I'd take a stab at the mic while it's hot. Quick question though - do local hardware stores carry copper foil? If not - does lowes/home depot? I used to have a roll of it for de-humming guitars, but that was four apartmnts and two cities ago...

I'm actually using an iPod touch. So - no worries on interference, etc... I tested it and it seems to work fine, but I still haven't used it to actually work with. Pretty excited about it. Would love to get this sort of thing working through a tablet-style computer. It'd be so nice to sit back in a ...
